Sanam Shetty was working with
a software firm until 2011 and she was also modeling as she
was working. While in the UK, she received offers to act in
films, but did not pursue it. But she took a break from her
job, and landed in Chennai to test acting.
Sanam's first film was Ambuli, an experimental film, which
was also the first stereoscopic Tamil film, with
actor-director R. Parthiepan, after which she did Cinema
Company in Malayalam. She decided to stay in films and quit
her job in the UK. She next shot for the Malayalam film,
Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus in which she was paired
opposite Megastar Mammootty.
In 2014, she has signed 2 Tamil films Katham Katham and
Vilasam in which she will be seen in a "de-glam" role as a
